Process

Step 1 – Project Submission

At Uniphonic, we initiate the remote mixing process with the submission of your projects. It's critical that you send us your tracks following the detailed specifications in our "Mixing Requirements Guide". Ensure to submit consolidated and correctly labeled WAV files, to preserve the integrity and quality of each track.

Furthermore, as your musical vision is our priority at Uniphonic, it's essential that you complete our "Artist Questionnaire", a form designed to provide us with all the necessary details to capture the essence of your project. This form offers essential information enabling us to approach your project with the attention to detail it demands. This initial step is crucial to establishing a solid foundation for the mix, ensuring that your project is handled with the utmost efficiency and professionalism from the start. It allows your music to receive the treatment it deserves, enabling us to mix with precision.

Step 2 – Solo Mix

After receiving your tracks and essential information, the next step in our remote mixing process is the "Solo Mix", carried out by our expert engineer, José A. Medina. In this phase, José delves into your project, utilizing all the technical and artistic information you have provided. This step is crucial to establishing a solid base mix, focusing on the general aspects of the sound.

During the "Solo Mix", the aim is to create an initial version that serves as a starting point for subsequent collaboration between the engineer and you. The resulting mix is a basic representation, focused on the general needs of the project, with minimal automation. This approach allows establishing a clear and coherent foundation, ready to be refined and adjusted based on your feedback. Thus, the "Solo Mix" lays the groundwork for a collaborative mixing process tailored to your specific needs.

Step 3 – Collaborative Mix

In this crucial phase of our remote mixing process, you, our client, take the lead role in the artistic definition of your project. During the "Collaborative Mix", our engineer, José A. Medina, acts as the hands and technical expertise to realize your artistic visions. This approach ensures that you direct the musical aspects, guaranteeing that the final mix truly reflects the sound you seek for your music.

Through our mix review system, you'll have the opportunity to listen to the most recent versions of the songs, compare different versions, and provide your feedback directly to us. This system allows for clear and effective communication, where you can leave general comments about the song as a whole or pinpoint specific moments for detailed adjustments. From vocal tuning to the level of reverb on a lead guitar, every comment you make will be meticulously addressed.

The "Collaborative Mix" is, therefore, a creative dialogue where your voice guides the project, while we contribute our technical experience to perfect your musical vision. The "Collaborative Mix" is more than just a step in the mixing process; it's an artistic partnership where your creative vision and our technical skills converge to bring your music to life.
